NEC fornece câmeras térmicas para combater Ebola na África

A NEC Corporation anunciou a entrega de câmeras térmicas infravermelhas através da Agência de Cooperação Internacional do Japão (JICA), para apoiar medidas contra febre hemorrágica Ebola na África, oferecendo quatro unidades para a República da Côte d’Ivoire e 5 unidades para a República do Gana.

Os termogramas infravermelhos fornecidos pelo NEC serão instalados em locais como aeroportos internacionais e postos de fronteira dos dois países, como um meio de medir a temperatura da superfície do corpo de várias pessoas de uma só vez, sem fazer contato físico, e também a triagem de indivíduos febris. A ação está programada para começar a partir do início de fevereiro.

Além disso, a NEC demonstrou a câmera de termografia infravermelha na 24ª African Union Summit, na capital etíope

Em novembro de 2014, o governo japonês se comprometeu a doar mais US $ 100 milhões em apoio para a luta contra a epidemia de Ebola na África Ocidental, elevando o montante total das suas contribuições de apoio para mais de US$ 155 milhões.

“Usando a termografia infravermelha, é possível realizar exames de indivíduos febris com segurança e em tempo real, sem que haja contato físico com o assunto.
